SME Wisconsin Annual Conference
07 October 2014
Held jointly with the Twin Cities Sub-section of SME
ERM is pleased to be a sponsor and exhibitor at this year’s SME Wisconsin Annual Conference.
Whether it is sand, building stone, aggregate, taconite, copper/nickel, or precious and other nonferrous metals, mining in the Great Lakes region is dynamic. Wisconsin and Minnesota share much of the same geology, yet we have quite a different make up of mining and mining-related industries. Regardless of the differences, one thing is clear: there is a growing effort to define and develop more sustainable mining practices through education and community partnerships.
This conference is hosted jointly by Wisconsin and Minnesota Twin Cities SME. Technical experts will be presenting on mining projects and innovations. Experts will also be presenting on other areas relevant to mining including: policy and legislative, legal and regulatory, environmental and permitting, education and academics.
