About the event Hide

On Thursday, 14 March 2024, ERM will host the third edition of The Round About organized by our Human Rights team in the Netherlands. The event promises an enlightening afternoon centered on integrated human rights and environmental due diligence within global value chains. The importance of integrating human rights and environmental considerations into corporate governance, operations, and value chains, is widely acknowledged and aligned with evolving global, EU, and national standards. The Round About will foster a collaborative learning environment and allows for sharing valuable corporate practices.

Navigating the evolving regulatory landscape

While the interlinkages between environmental and human rights are not new, evolving environmental and human rights due diligence standards such as the draft EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive and the revised OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises on Responsible Business Conduct shows the need to advance corporate responsibility for human rights and the environment.

Curious to learn what this means in practice for your company? How to carry out human rights due diligence with an environmental perspective? At the Round About, we will dive deeper into the due diligence requirements of these standards, and how this extends across companies’ value chains beyond their own operations and first-tier suppliers. Companies will share their insights and good examples of applying holistic, coordinated, and collaborative approaches to due diligence processes and practices including meaningful stakeholder engagement and effective remedy.

About The Round About
