Sustainability regulation isn’t slowing down, but it is becoming more practical. The Global Regulations Radar helps you focus on what matters most, and what to do next.
In this edition, ESG and EHS requirements are moving beyond broad frameworks to more specific, operational expectations—changing how companies report, manage risk, and run their day-to-day operations. It’s a clear sign the regulatory landscape is maturing, with greater emphasis on implementation, not just intent.
Here is a snapshot of what we are seeing across regions, download the report for full details.
Europe
While large frameworks are being simplified and narrowed through initiatives like the EU Omnibus, new rules are addressing specific gaps—ranging from methane emissions to pay transparency. The focus is shifting toward operational change, with greater expectations on systems, processes, and workforce management, alongside continued efforts to standardise investor-ready disclosure.
North America
The regulatory picture is mixed, with some federal rollback alongside continued momentum at the state level. Climate disclosure, packaging, and product regulations are still evolving, meaning companies face an active and increasingly fragmented compliance landscape across jurisdictions.
Asia
The region continues to move toward globally aligned disclosure frameworks. New standards are adopting familiar international structures while reflecting local priorities, creating a clearer baseline for reporting that is expected to expand in scope and depth over time.
