Omar Ríos is a senior consultant in the ERM Safety Services Team in Mexico City. He has served as an analyst, facilitator, and trainer in qualitative and quantitative risk assessment techniques in the oil, pharmaceutical, chemical, mining, and transportation industries. He has performed risk analysis and management services on projects in Mexico, the United States, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Trinidad & Tobago, Peru, and Hong Kong.
The event will introduce the listener to the fundamentals of functional safety, the main elements that include a Safety Instrumented System (SIS) and its relationship with the Safety Integrity Level (SIL), in addition, its applications will be addressed to obtain targeted benefits to achieve robust process safety management.
