Breanne is a Partner in ERM’s Renewables Practice, with a passion for the wind industry.
She has 20 years of experience across the European Union, North America, and Asia where she has worked in industry, not-for-profit, and consulting organizations.Breanne has supported wind project development through new market entry and feasibility studies, offshore wind bid support, supply chain strategy, offshore floating lidar surveys, large contract negotiations, and measurement campaign design. Her clients include offshore wind developers and operators, governmental agencies, wind associations, and the highly sought-after wind supply chain. Prior to joining ERM, Breanne managed large offshore wind floating LiDAR projects globally and contributed to the development of floating LiDAR standards and commercial acceptance of the technology. She is the Partner-in-Charge of an ERM joint industry project focused on studying data from multiple floating LiDAR campaigns to reduce measurement campaign uncertainties and improve project financing and investment returns. Breanne possesses skills in project and account management, leading large and diverse project teams, and supporting the commercial acceptance of new innovations and participants in the wind supply chain.

The LIDARs session at the 2025 WindEurope Technology Workshop, titled "Latest Lights on LIDARs", will focus on the latest advancements and challenges in the commercial use of LIDAR technology, particularly for offshore wind applications. The topics to be discussed in the session include-
- Precision in Offshore Measurements: Discussion on how scanning LIDARs, especially in dual-Doppler mode, can provide high-precision, high-resolution wind data over large offshore areas.
- Beam Alignment Challenges: Insights into how even small misalignments in laser beams can significantly affect measurement accuracy, and how this is more complex offshore due to the lack of fixed reference points.
- Innovative Calibration Methods: Presentation of an extended Sea Surface Levelling (SSL) method to calibrate beam alignment, including pitch, roll, and elevation offset.
- Platform Motion Effects: Analysis of how the movement of offshore platforms (like transition pieces) introduces uncertainty in LIDAR measurements.
- Real-World Data & Validation: Results from offshore campaigns using dual-Doppler setups, comparing SSL calibration with inclinometer data and hard target references.
