Ally is a marine consultant in ERM's Capital Projects team in Glasgow, with over eight years of professional experience. She initially started as a terrestrial ecologist, working on various projects across the UK, including onshore wind farms. Ally transitioned into digital aerial survey as a lead analyst. She has experience working in UK Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) waters, including the Celtic Sea, Irish Sea, and North Sea, as well as in international regions on pre- and post-consenting ornithology and megafauna Digital Aerial Surveys (DAS) for offshore wind farm study areas. 

Since joining ERM, Ally has focused on marine mammals and ornithology, conducting impact assessments for a variety of marine projects, including offshore renewables, restoration projects, carbon capture, floating wind, and subsea cables. She has led and supported baseline studies, collision risk modelling, impact assessments, key consenting advice, and technical deliverables related to marine mammals and ornithology. Her work also includes international projects, such as offshore wind farms in South Korea and France. Additionally, she has diversified into offshore migratory bat impact assessments for Scottish offshore wind farms.

Pieterjan is a partner and Global Account Director in the Energy Sector at ERM with 25+ years of experience. He is passionate about the challenges and opportunities that come with a global energy transition. In particular he is enthusiastic about helping large organisations address their business imperatives and drivers in a volatile and complex business environment: Sustainability - Low Carbon Economy and Energy Transition - Investment/Finance - Business Performance & Resilience - EHS. As Global Account Director, Pieterjan is responsible for building and maintaining a global partnership with ENGIE and Ocean Winds. In this role he combines relevant client and market insights with ERM's global capablities in order to continuously be able to bring our best value in a consistent way.

Simone is a Consulting Director with extensive experience in driving project development across a broad range of sectors, including Oil & Gas, Renewable Energy, Conventional Power, and Infrastructure. His expertise in the energy sector covers offshore and onshore gas pipeline projects, gas exploration, offshore and onshore wind farms, photovoltaic installations, concentrating solar plants, battery storage and transmission lines.

He specializes in pre‑feasibility assessments, site selection, Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA), and post‑consenting services for both national and international assets. His professional background spans numerous regions across Europe, Africa, Central America, and the Asia‑Pacific area, with project experience in Albania, Algeria, Angola, Ghana, Guinea, the Republic of Congo, Colombia, Mexico, Greece, Ivory Coast, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Mozambique, Kosovo, Senegal, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Zambia, Kenya, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, India, and the Philippines.

Throughout his career, Simone has collaborated with leading global organizations, including Eni, Eni Plenitude, Edison, Saipem, Shell, Statoil, WPD, Engie, Iberdrola Renewables, Eurowind, MedWind, AerSoleir, European Energy, Aven Hexicon, Guinea Aluminum Corporation, the Trans Adriatic Pipeline, Solvay, Federal Mogul, Spectrum, Globeleq, Ciprel, Tractebel Engineering, Total, RWE, and ABEI Energy.

Mauricio Pereira has enjoyed a long-term career in renewable energy, having focused on the leadership of technical teams and project sponsorship. He has worked in EMEA, LATAM, and NA, where has had the opportunity to experience renewable markets at different stages of maturity.

Mauricio is an expert in project development and has a proven track record in participating in the assessment of 100+ GW of solar, wind and energy storage projects.

Throughout his career, Mauricio has advised on services as Technical and E&S due diligence, measurement campaign definitions, solar, wind and SCADA data analysis, wind and solar farm inspections, energy analysis, and others. Mauricio trained as a Mechanical Engineer and is a Chartered Engineer by the IMechE UK.

Ben has directed and managed multidisciplinary renewable power, linear and large infrastructure projects (onshore and offshore) complying with local permitting regimes and guided by international best practice, in Europe, Africa and North America. His recent experience includes directing onshore windfarm, solar PV and BESS developments in Scotland and England (S36, DCO and T&CP applications). Ben is experienced at working with clients, funding institutions and regulators alike to identify, assess and appropriately manage project risks and benefits. 

Cristina Ortuño is a Sustainable finance Partner at ERM Iberia, with a focus on renewable projects both onshore and offshore. Mrs. Ortuño has twenty years of experience supporting developers meet national and international lender ESG requirements across their project lifecycle, including red flag reports, permitting/ESIAs and associated specialized studies, building and implementing robust E&S management systems, and lender reporting.

On the other hand, Mrs. Ortuño also regularly works on behalf of lenders to perform E&S Due Diligence and E&S Action Plans, as well as regular project E&S Monitoring. She has experience with all key relevant standards and her experience has stretched across geographical boundaries from Europe to Africa, Middle East and America.

Cristina has participated in projects linked with diverse financing institutions, international banks and ECAs as: UKEF, CESCE, Euler Hermes, ADB, BNPP, BBVA, Credit Agricole, DB, EBRD, EIB, HSBC, IFC, KfW, Proparco, Santander, SG, and WB among others. Through her experience working both for developers and lenders, she can help lenders develop future-fit projects that align with current and future ESG trends, while providing boots on the ground solid and realistic implementation support. Her support is key to transform regulatory obligations into strategic levers that enhance the competitiveness, reputation, and profitability of renewable projects.

Maria is leading ERM's Capital Projects Delivery Service in Europe, Middle East and Africa, with a focus on growing our work on Renewable and Sustainable Energy Projects across EMEA.

We help clients address the complex change needed to transition towards a net zero Greenhouse Gas Emissions planet, helping them with the development of strategies, as well as supporting the full life-cycle of the lower carbon infrastructure projects (e.g. renewable energy, hydrogen, and other) around the world.

In her +25 years of experience in the sustainability consulting sector  she has gained experience in a variety of fields, including eight years as Managing Partner of our Spain and Portugal operations, Global Account Director for a leading Renewable Energy developer, leading complex multimillion dollar environmental consulting studies in challenging locations such as Iraq or North Africa, supporting social performance projects in Sub-Saharan Africa, to name a few. In her day to day, she is motivated by trying to inspire people to give the best of themselves for a better world, both colleagues and the clients we serve. 

Alex is a Partner within the Renewables Industry at ERM with more than 16 years’ experience in the development, consenting and environmental assessment of major infrastructure projects. Alex is experienced in offshore and onshore renewable energy projects working across offshore wind, onshore wind, solar, BESS and cable infrastructure projects across Europe. He has been able to support projects at all phases of development from site selection and lease application support, environmental impact assessment and consenting to discharging conditions post consent in preparation for construction.  Alex coordinates multidisciplinary project teams to support clients across Europe, ensuring that international renewables expertise and deep technical knowledge are effectively integrated with ERM’s local in country insights and experience to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Phil Durrant is Partner Lead within ERM's Capital Project Delivery, with 35+ years of experience and proven business development and leadership skills who focuses on the delivery of outstanding services and products. Hel has a track record of delivering significant and sustained commercial growth through focused business development, mergers and acquisitions and intelligent strategic partnerships.

Phil has significant experience in project manging a wide range of services on an international basis and has overseen data acquisition projects across the globe. With a strong back ground in geophysics he has added a sound and robust understanding of environmental and geotechnical project requirements which enable him to provide a comprehensive overview to clients and promote an integrated approach to data handling. Having initially worked offshore surveying sites, routes and cables/pipelines for a range of Oil and Gas operators he has developed his skills to keep pace with the energy transition working on marine renewable projects, including offshore wind and tidal, both across Europe and in the US. Now at ERM he offers his extensive experience to a range of clients to support then in delivering their projects in accordance with the regulatory framework and their own sustainable development goals.

Charles is a Partner at ERM Germany and serves as the Renewables Lead for Central Europe, covering markets such as Germany, Poland, Romania, Switzerland, and neighboring countries. He focuses on wind, solar, and battery storage, driving strategic growth and supporting clients in accelerating their energy transition.

With 17 years of experience driving business development and go-to-market strategies for energy projects across Europe, Charles has built deep expertise in natural gas, renewables and hydrogen technologies, particularly in North-Western and Eastern European markets. His career includes a strong foundation in energy infrastructure development, covering gas transportation and storage as well as regulatory affairs.

Since joining ERM, Charles has led renewable energy initiatives in Germany and Central Europe, steering strategic projects that accelerate the energy transition. He has managed major offshore wind and onshore renewables development projects, advising clients on consenting processes and stakeholder engagement to support successful market entry and project delivery.
