ERM Consultant Bonia Leung recognized as GreenBiz “30 under 30” leader

ERM Consultant Bonia Leung has been named as one of the 2021 “30 Under 30” by GreenBiz Group based on a global search for emerging leaders across sectors who are shaping the next generation of sustainable business. Bonia has been with ERM since 2017, first as a consultant in Waste Policy and Strategy in ERM's Hong Kong office and now focusing on Product Sustainability and Waste in the London office. She has led a number of notable projects, including two with the Hong Kong government helping the city devise a plan to separate and collect food waste, and to create a regulatory program to eliminate single-use plastic tableware.

This year’s roster ranges from managers and executive directors to founders and CEOs, from the United States to Rwanda to Lithuania, working for multinational corporations, innovative startups, social enterprises, nonprofit organizations and government agencies. “I am honored to be recognized on The 2021 GreenBiz 30 Under 30 list. In my own work, I hope I can be a guide for other people as we navigate the future of sustainability.” said Bonia on receiving the honor.

“The work that Bonia is doing to help operationalize sustainability for our clients with respect to waste and plastics is an inspiration. Bonia is a role model for colleagues and clients alike, both in Hong Kong where she was previously based, and now in London," commented Tim Strawn, Regional CEO for Europe, Middle East and Africa. “We are proud to support our employees in their professional journeys across the globe. Bonia embodies ERM's commitment to fostering talent and capability in the next generation of leaders in sustainability.” Waste management and policy play a key role in the shift to a circular economy and ERM is proud to be helping our clients in this transition. ERM also appreciates GreenBiz’s recognition of this next generation of leaders in sustainability and their contributions to a sustainable future.

Sustainability is my passion and I feel privileged to be acknowledged among a group of young leaders who are testing the boundaries of sustainability in business through their everyday work."
