As part of ERM's public-facing sustainability commitments, each country or business unit creates a Sustainability Action Plan (SAP) that translates ERM's global sustainability goals and targets into the local context.

SAPs are completed by the Sustainability Network in each region, in consultation with the Business Unit Managing Partner and Regional Leadership Team. Once approved by the Managing Partner, the SAP drives local actions to help achieve our global goals and targets – and identifies local emerging sustainability priorities that are not included in our public targets. Each SAP is led by the Sustainability Network in the region and business unit.

ERM uses an online platform to share SAPs and make it easier for our business units to track the implementation of performance plans for each of our material sustainability topics. This online platform is designed to improve transparency and senior accountability to implement each SAP. The platform provides a standardized format for business unit plans. With greater comparability between business units, we can more effectively assess performance against targets through mid-year and annual progress reports.

As the Managing Partner, I make sure our Business Unit SAP encompasses the right ambition and substance to support ERM in achieving our companywide sustainability goals, targets and strategy.”
