ERM Strengthens its Planning Practice through Partnership with the Moore Planning Group
25 February 2011
Environmental Resources Management (ERM), a leading global provider of environmental, health and safety, risk, and social consulting services and landscape architecture and planning firm Moore Planning Group (MPG) have announced a progressive new partnership.
ERM and a core group of MPG professional staff have strengthened ERM’s long-standing Planning Practice through the creation of an additional Practice Center of Excellence. The Center of Excellence will be based in Alexandria and Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where MPG is based and where both companies have established clients. It will serve both MPG and ERM’s existing clients, as well as contributing to an expansion of ERM’s market presence in the Planning practice.
Since 2007, ERM and MPG have teamed on multiple corporate, industrial and municipal projects across both North and South America. The new partnership builds upon ERM’s Global capabilities to provide comprehensive community planning, landscape architecture and strategic implementation services. It also provides an additional North American Center of Excellence to complement ERM’s long-standing Planning Center of Excellence in Annapolis, Maryland, and enables MPG to significantly broaden its impact and geographic scope.
Rick Smith, Managing Partner for ERM’s North American Southern Division, heralded the announcement, saying: “With the MPG team joining us, we can deliver an innovative approach to planning to multinational clients who demand high quality and seamless delivery. ERM and MPG have already worked together on major projects in the US and South America; our core values, symbiotic relationship, and passion for progressing sustainability made this a win-win-win, for ERM, MPG, and the clientele of both organizations.”
Patrick Moore, MPG’s Managing Principal, has joined as a Partner with ERM. Moore expressed his enthusiasm for the new partnership, saying: “We thank our loyal family of clients, which we will be able to serve with an even greater breadth and depth of talent, and our team is very excited by this opportunity to significantly expand our ‘fusion of science and soul’ approach to planning on a global scale. We are thrilled with the opportunity to share with new clients our expertise on improving quality of life and sparking economic development through thoughtful, sustainable planning. ERM and MPG’s decision to establish an additional Center of Excellence in Louisiana, I believe, reflects the energy and long-term commitment of both organizations to this region.”
Todd Hall, ERM’s Managing Partner for the Impact Assessment & Planning Practice in the Americas further signified the partnership: “For many years we have maintained strong planning capabilities at a number of locations across our global footprint. The addition of the MPG staff to our global team is particularly significant in that it provides us with enhanced ability to provide these services to our long-standing client base in the US Gulf Coast Region.”
