Shell recognizes ERM’s dedication to health and safety on two separate occasions
03 June 2010
Shell has recognized two ERMers in their Quarterly Safety Awards for their commitment to health and safety after developing safer ways in which to carry out on-site activities.
Noorzana Miswan has received a HSSE Award for Middle East Asia. The award recognizes ERM’s vigilant behavior in synthesizing maximum learnings while working on site and for outstanding safe behaviors in Q1 of 2010.
Josh Kowald was recognized in the Shell Quarterly Safety Awards for the excellent safety behaviors demonstrated as a contractor to Shell in Q1 2010.
ERM’s Global Health and Safety Director Mark Clark said: “The initiative taken by both Noorzana and Josh exemplify the “You See It. You Own It.” mantra of ERM’s safety culture.
“Instead of letting potentially unsafe acts and conditions go unchecked, they got involved and ensured safe outcomes. We work hard to put health and safety at the forefront of everything we do. It’s very rewarding when our clients take the time to appreciate those efforts. These awards not only recognize the proactive actions taken by our colleagues, but also show how ERM's safety culture is getting stronger globally, one action at a time."
