ERM wins award for its business achievement and growth over the past five years
19 January 2009
Environmental Resources Management (ERM), the world’s leading environmental consultancy, was recognized by Environmental Business Journal’s (EBJ) annual awards for its business achievement and growth over the past five years.
The EBJ's Environmental Business Achievement Awards selected ERM as a Bronze Medal Award winner in the large firm category (>US$100m) for Business Achievement in Consulting and Engineering. Last year, ERM reported a record 19% growth in net revenues to US$445.7 million for the fiscal year ending on March 31 2008, and a 23% increase in operating profit over the same period. The growth in net revenue was ERM's highest ever, and despite the recent economic downturn, ERM has experienced strong growth in the first half of its current financial year. In each of the past five years, ERM has enjoyed double-digit growth in net revenue.
During the past year, ERM has continued to build its capacity around the world, opening 13 new offices and establishing a presence in Romania and Alaska, as well as strengthening its presence in Africa, North America, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Malaysia. ERM now employs more than 3,500 people at 145 offices in 41 countries.
The award will be presented at the upcoming Environmental Industry Summit in San Diego on 18 February 2009.
