This 2-day course is an exceptional way to meet both your Dangerous Waste WAC 173-303-330 annual training and DOT 49 CFR 172.704 recurrent training requirements. This course is unique and specifically tailored to Washington state requirements and updates.
Learn the important concepts and procedures required for compliance with hazardous waste (EPA/RCRA) and dangerous waste (WDOE) hazardous materials transport (DOT/HMTA/WSDOT) regulations in an engaging format that uses scenario-based training methods designed to help you maximize learning retention and apply what you’ve learned to your work every day.
After this training, you will know the key differences between RCRA and WDOE requirements that are critical to management of dangerous wastes in Washington State. You’ll also learn how to avoid the most common violations cited by WDOE and WSDOT, as well as how to comply with new requirements that have been enacted over the past year.
Per state and federal regulations all people who manage dangerous waste and/or ship hazardous materials must complete annual RCRA and DOT refresher training.
You will receive a certificate of training to keep as part of your facility records as required by WAC 173-303-330 (3) and 49 CFR 172.704.

June Coover is a professional engineer in Washington State as well as a certified environmental auditor. She has over 30 years of expertise in Washington State dangerous waste and hazardous materials shipping requirements. In addition, Ms. Coover has specific expertise in petroleum refinery waste rules which will be covered as part of this course curriculum.
Mary Mitchener is a senior consultant with over 20 years of professional experice. She has indepth understanding of unique Washington State rules and specific application of them in various industries throughout the state. As an auditor, Ms. Mitchener has identified numerous potential compliance concerns with dangerous waste management and will bring that expertise and experience to life in this training course.
Jim Schneider is a senior consultant with over 15 years of professional experience. He has been providing hazardous waste and hazardous materials shipping training over the last three years. He has specific expertise and experience in managing contaminated media and in sampling and testing of unidentifiable materials for profiling and shipping. He will bring that knowledge and expertise to this training course.
Aaron Uddin is a senior consultant with experience in solution/program design and program implementation as an emerging leader in ERM’s change management client service offering. He has teamed with a variety of ERM and client teams to deliver integrated solutions that leverage value from each expertise area to fit our client’s needs. Aaron is a Certified Professional Behavioral Analyst (CPBA) and a Certified Professional Motivators Analyst (CPMA).
Andrea Guillory is a learning and development consultant with more than 10 years’ experience designing and facilitating curriculum for leadership development, change management, and talent management programs; career development and team building assessments; train-the-trainer courses and web-based eLearning courses; and subject matter expert course development. Andrea is a Certified Professional Behavioral Analyst (CPBA) and a Certified Professional Motivators Analyst (CPMA).
