Principal Consultant with the Contaminated Site Management Practice in Belgium and The Netherlands
The sheer magnitude and complexity of the projects and type of clients ERM works on and for appealed to me from the outset. Add to this the opportunities and support for career growth, the focus on people and the global character of both the business and project work and I just knew I wanted to work for ERM.
Shortly after joining the company I become the main client contact for all contaminated site management projects for a global manufacturer who was also a local key client. Over the next two to three years I was able to grow this client into one of Belgium’s top three clients by being a strategic partner for solutions for them, project management, organizing and coaching our team and ensuring we delivered quality work.
Working for ERM I was able to transfer to our Johannesburg office in South Africa for two years to support our growth in the region, in particular in relation to a three year contract with a major oil and gas multinational. I was also involved in organizing the Contaminated Site Management (CSM) practice on a business unit level in order to increase collaboration and realize sustainable growth of both individuals and the practice as a whole. Currently I am involved in growing our business in The Netherlands working with O&G clients and clients with a focus on Africa.
Overall my role is the perfect balance of technical skills, people and management. The combination of coaching and leading people, interacting with clients and creating smart and innovative solutions that are profitable for ERM makes sure that no two days are the same. I really enjoy the hugely dynamic working environment and the large number of opportunities for personal growth that this creates.
