ERM, the world’s largest pure play sustainability consultancy, today announces that Simon Crowe is stepping down as Chief Financial Officer.

Simon joined ERM in January 2018 and has contributed to its successful growth, recapitalization, refinancing and securing new investment from KKR in 2021.

Simon said: “For some time now, ERM CEO Tom Reichert and I have been discussing the best time for me to move on, and together we have concluded that, nearly a year after the KKR transaction closed, now is the right time. I have greatly enjoyed my time at ERM, working with an amazing team, promoting the global ESG agenda with incredible clients, and driving the financial success of the business. It has been a privilege being the CFO of ERM for nearly five years and I have every confidence that ERM will continue to flourish. I’m personally looking forward to a smooth transition as well as new challenges ahead and want to wish the new team under Tom’s leadership every success”.

Tom Reichert, CEO of ERM Group, said: “Simon is a world-class CFO with a broad skill set. He has successfully steered ERM through some challenging times. He has made a huge contribution to the commercial success and financial stability that ERM now enjoys. We wish him well as he starts the next chapter of his career”.

Tim Franks, Partner at KKR and Chair of the ERM Board, said: “The Board is grateful to Simon for everything that he has done for ERM over nearly five years, helping to build a financially sound world-class company that strives to meet the ever-increasing sustainability challenges of our times. ERM is on a remarkable journey of growth and has a critical role to play in shaping a sustainable future for the world’s leading organizations at a time when it is most urgently needed.”
