Vopak plans to optimise the design of the Farewell, Blend and King Sites in the Island View Complex, Port of Durban to reach the required storage capacity for diesel, ULP and base oil products. To achieve this Vopak plans to upgrade certain assets at these sites in support of the Vopak Efficiency (Growth 4) Project.
The Project will require Environmental Authorisation through a Basic Assessment (BA) in terms of the National Environment Management Act, 1998 (Act No. 107 of 1998) (NEMA) as amended. This notification serves to announce the commencement of the Basic Assessment (BA) process and advise Interested and Affected Parties (I&AP) to register to be kept updated.
