30 July 2012

Chris Paddey has joined ERM to take on the role of Power Sector lead in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The appointment highlights the growing opportunities for ERM in relation to the Power Sector in the region.

Chris (pictured left) joins ERM from Halcrow, where following its acquisition by CH2M Hill, he was appointed as the Global Practice Leader – Energy & Power. A Civil Engineer with 25 years’ experience, initially in Power Station emissions reduction projects and latterly in a broad range of renewable energy consulting services for the Power Sector, Chris has worked in both Asia and Europe.  He has extensive contacts with senior leaders in the Power sector and experience of negotiating successful framework contracts.

John Waters, Managing Partner for Global Sectors and Practices, said: “Chris’ appointment is testament to the opportunities that we see in the Power Sector and our commitment to support our clients wherever they have needs for sustainability related services.”

Speaking on his new role Chris said: “A real strength for ERM is the fact that it is a consultancy that can deliver globally. Our main clients are global power companies, which means that our opportunities are not geographically constrained. My focus will be on leading our work in this sector in EMEA.”
