SPE International Conference on Health, Safety & Environment
12 - 14 April
Experts from the global oil and gas industry and governmental and nongovernmental agency officials will gather to discuss how to address climate change, public health needs in developing countries, and other pressing social responsibility issues at the Society of Petroleum Engineers’ International Conference on Health, Safety & Environment (HSE). It will take place on 12–14 April 2010 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
For more than eighteen years, the HSE conference has been the E&P industry’s premier event highlighting HSE best practices and challenges. It offers a gateway to more than 1,200 health, safety, and environment professionals working in and beyond the oil and gas sector.
The conference theme, “Facing New Challenges With Best Practices and Innovative Thinking,” reflects the sharing of best practices and technologies that are imperative in the current global climate to maximize HSE programs and help achieve shareholders and stakeholders needs.
The technical program strikes a balance between emerging issues, best practices, and lessons learned. Topics include HSE best practices and innovations, climate change challenges, social responsibility, and safety improvements.
