RenewablesUK Offshore Wind 2010

29 - 30 June 2010

The UK is the world leader in offshore wind with more projects installed, in planning and in construction than any other country in the world.  By 2020 at least 20,000MW of offshore wind is expected to be installed and operating in UK waters. There are currently 228 offshore wind turbines in UK waters, with an installed capacity of 688MW, with a further 1,407 in construction and approved, totaling 4,598MW. It is estimated that each MW of offshore wind could power around 640 homes.

Over 1,000 people will attend RenewablesUK's  (formerly BWEA) ninth annual offshore wind event at the Arena & Convention Centre, Liverpool over 29th-30th June 2010. Delegates will include senior government officials, investors, financiers, manufacturers, developers and all others with an interest in the latest policy and technical developments in offshore wind energy. This year's event is sponsored by Subocean Group, leading specialists in offshore subsea construction.

ERM will be exhibiting at this event.
