ERM's Climate Change Roundtable Forum in Boston

18 May 2010

We will be holding our next Climate Change Roundtable Forum on Tuesday, 18 May 2010. The Forum, which is an ERM event held quarterly, was successfully launched in 2008 and provides a knowledge-sharing platform for company leaders responsible for their enterprise-wide Climate Change and carbon management policies and programs. The Forum provides a collaborative setting allowing participants to gain valuable peer information and perspective on such topics as: benchmarking; obtaining regulatory updates; learning new approaches to operate in a carbon-regulated world; carbon disclosure and reporting; and GHG emission reduction. The Forum provides a unique opportunity to network with colleagues who have similar roles and responsibilities within their organizations.

This event will be a Special Guest Speaker Event with Representative Peter Welch of Vermont (D) sharing his insights on developing national energy and climate change legislation. Representative Welch, who lives in Hartland and Norwich, Vermont, was elected to his first term as Vermont's lone U.S. Representative in 2006 and was reelected in 2008. Representative Welch serves on the Committee on Energy and Commerce, the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, and the Committee on Standards of Official Conduct. This special event will be conducted in a Town Hall format to allow attendees to engage in open discussion about forthcoming national energy and climate change legislation and potential impacts on business. In addition, to provide a learning environment for Representative Welch and other attendees, we request that you come prepared to share how your company is responding to the business risks and opportunities associated with emergent energy and carbon management regulations. This knowledge sharing will promote discussion on how corporate carbon management programs are evolving. We hope you will join us for this event.

This event is by invitation only. Please contact Mary Pietrocarlo for more information.
