ERM & BDB Seminar: Discuss the Planning Act 2008
30 November 2009
The Planning Act 2008 introduces a new system for nationally significant infrastructure planning. An Infrastructure Planning Commission (IPC) will be the new authority granting development consent for major projects, and National Policy Statements will be used as the policy framework for the IPC’s decisions.
Environmental Resources Management (ERM) and Bircham Dyson Bell (BDB) are hosting a short evening seminar to help you understand the implications for promoters of the way in which major projects will be examined by the IPC within this new framework. ERM and BDB have worked successfully together on numerous occasions, taking major infrastructure projects through the planning system to authorisation and beyond. We can bring valuable insights to the planning process, highlighting some of the key issues likely to be faced by major scheme promoters.
