"Case Study ‐ State of the Art Sustainable Design and Conceptualization to Minimize Impact to Underground Water in a Pharmaceutical Site"

ERM will present a project that included supporting and developing a feasibility study and conceptual design, a compliance permitting strategy, a final design and to provide inspection services during the construction of a state of the art project to improve the collection of the generated Storm water and injection into the sinkhole located within a pharmaceutical plant located in Puerto Rico. The difference of this design from other storm water collection and injection systems was the incorporation of the testing of the storm water prior to its injection into the subsurface.  ERM will present how the project was carried out successfully and the environmental benefits the project has had since its completion.

ERM will provide a presentations on How to Minimize Risk and Liabilities in Your Business under the current Global and Local Challenges covering a broad spectrum of possible risks that your company may face anywhere from day to day operations to typical mergers & acquisitions of our time up to the most challenging closing of facilities that could involve dismantling, decommission, and demolition.

The presentation will include the following topics:

  • Business Risk: development, implementation and compliance with local / federal regulations vs. Operational realities
  • Critical aspects to reduce management and environmental liabilities during Mergers & Acquisitions that could result in considerable cost
  • Logistics associated with the risks and economics opportunities that can arise during the closing of a facility under the current market conditions

Directions

Directions from the Luís Muñoz Marín (LMM) International Airport to the new Puerto Rico Convention Center:

When exiting the LMM International Airport, take the first exit to the right (Rd #26 - San Juan/Bayamón).

Take this road for 7.5 miles. You will reach the San Antonio Bridge. After crossing the light, you must take your second left exit (San Juan/Carolina exit) which will be immediately to your left. Stay on the left lane while you go under the overpass. Once you’ve yielded to the on-coming traffic on your right, move far right lane.

Pass the Yacht Club and the Sizzler’s Restaurant. Take the exit to the Puerto Rico Convention Center
District Authority to the right. At the first light, turn right. Follow the road to the entrance of the new
Puerto Rico Convention Center.
