ERM has been involved in numerous projects across Africa for over 35 years, and in 2003 established a permanent presence in the region to meet the growing needs of our clients. We now employ over 120 people working out of offices in Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg and Pretoria.

Initially employing just 14 people out of one office, the focus then was very much on providing contaminated site management, due diligence auditing, management systems and compliance assurance.  Since then the team has continued to grow to offer the full range of ERM’s services with the opening of our fourth office in Pretoria enabling us to better serve both government agencies and mining companies.

One of the key elements of our business is the wide variety of services and solutions that we have on offer. Two of our competitive advantages in Southern Africa are our Major Hazard Installations Service and Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) Certification.

ERM is one of a few companies in the region that has a Major Hazard Installations Risk Assessment accreditation with the South African National Accreditation System (SANAS) and as part of this certification process our company is audited annually to ensure that we are working inline with the standards required by the Certification Body. In addition we are the only South African company that can offer our clients in Southern Africa CDM validation and verification services.
