ERM has worked extensively in Russia for more than 15 years and initially established an office in Moscow and work closely with our two offices in Kazakhstan.

The team has a unique range of experience in environmental, social and health & safety disciplines completing over 1500 projects in Russia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Belorussia and other countries of the Former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe.

Our staff have close contact and good relations with high level personnel within the various Russian Ministries, State Environmental Review Departments and with regional authorities. We also hold the state license for environmental protection works and services.

ERM specialists in this region have experience in operating to Western standards, for example IFC, EBRD and EU, as well as excellent technical expertise and knowledge of the local regulatory environment.  All staff are experienced in working with major international companies and International Financial Institutions providing services to clients in all industries and sectors.

Our specialists have been trained to IFC Performance Standards and on EBRD special courses in addition to being registered by both EBRD and venture funds established by EBRD.  We are also on ISO 14001:2004 by TUV (IRCA) Lead Auditor and Social Accountability SA 8000 (IRCA) Standard by SGS.
